interfaith activities update 2016

Nadine Iarchy in Belgium continues to give lectures at least twice a week on “Judaism for Dummies” to 17 and 18 year old school students, approximately 40 at a time.  Some of these students are Muslims as there are a majority of Muslim students at some of the schools. Groups of adults also attend and about 30 police each month come to learn about Judaism. This year Nadine also gives lectures to police students.  Nadine provides an important link between the Jewish community and the broader community. She has many vital links with faith leaders throughout Europe.

I urge all affiliates and executive members to consider how you can reach out to women of other faiths so they can learn more about our Jewish beliefs and traditions and we can learn more about them. This is more important than ever today.
