israel in tier 1 against trafficking

Aviva Kohlmann, Vice President of the Council of Women's Organizations in Israel, represented CWOI at the emergency meeting of Israel's Parliamentary Committee on Trafficking in Persons on June 19, 2012. 

aviva.JPGNext day, the US State Department announced that the Government of Israel fully complies with the minimum standards for the elimination of trafficking. Israel now qualifies for the highest possible Tier 1 classification, and the State Department report says: "The Israeli government sustained strong law enforcement actions against sex trafficking and strong overall prevention efforts during the year."
