NCJW at the White House

NCJW representatives were present at President Obama's first bill signing ceremony when the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act became law.

Nancy Ratzan, President of the U.S. NCJW, and NCJW Director of Washington Operations Sammie Moshenberg, were privileged to witness President Obama signing the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act into law at the White House. The first bill signing ceremony of the Obama administration was also NCJW's first meeting with the new U.S. president.

The passage of the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act is a victory for women's rights and civil rights. It is also a testament to the power of grassroots action. In recent years, NCJW advocates like you have sent thousands of letters to Washington in support of fair pay and equal rights for women.
