President Bush launched 3rd annual Jewish American Heritage Month
"The story of the Jewish people in America is the story of America itself," Bush said in his proclamation declaring May as Jewish American Heritage Month.
The United Nations has helped to organize a series of concerts in New York as part of the Daniel Pearl World Music Days named for the Wall Street Journal reporter who was kidnapped and murdered by terrorists in Pakistan in early 2002.
The theme of the 2007 European Day of Jewish Culture on September 2, 2007, is Testimonies. Events in 30 countries celebrate the cultural and historical heritage of Judaism.
